Department of Mathematics

A woman smiling and in conversation

(Virtual) open day sessions

Get a real sense of what life is like in the Department of Mathematics by joining us for our virtual events - featuring discussions with our staff and opportunities to connect with our students.

Right now we're unable to welcome you onto our campus to show you around and answer your questions about studying with us, but that doesn't mean you can't connect with us online. We're holding virtual events, and making available the recordings in case you can't be there for the live sessions.

Undergraduate events

Our latest virtual open week for undergraduate students took place in June 2020.

If you didn't manage to make it, or missed sessions you wanted to attend, we have some recordings you can still view:

Visit days

After submitting your application you may be invited to attend a visit day. These days will arm you with all the information you need about your chosen course and will include an interview.

Right now we don't know if this will be on campus, but as soon as we do, so will you. Our admissions department will contact you with more information.

Postgraduate events

We will be holding a Postgraduate Virtual Open Week Monday 2 Nov to Friday 6 Nov.

You can book your sessions here for the below talks:

  • PhD Study in Mathematics 14:00-15:00 Monday 2 November
  • MSc Study in Mathematics 10:00-11:00 Wednesday 4 November

Our latest virtual open week for postgraduate students took place in July 2020.

If you didn't manage to make it, or wish to revisit the session, you can view the recording here:
