Open days

One of the best ways to learn more about the Department of Mathematics is by attending an open day.

Visiting the Department in person will allow you to meet staff and students, explore our facilities and get a taste of what life's like in the fantastic, forward-thinking city of Manchester.

Undergraduate open days

Our undergraduate open days are held throughout the year and offer a chance to learn more about the Department and the wider University, its proud history and vision for the future.

Our next open days are taking place on:

  • 19 and 20 June 2020
  • 3 and 10 October 2020

Visit days

After submitting your application you may be invited to attend a visit day. These days will arm you with all the information you need about your chosen course and will include an interview.

Should you be selected for a visit day, our admissions department will be in touch.

Postgraduate open days

The Department of Mathematics has around 170 postgraduate students in principal areas of mathematics. To find out more, come along to one of our postgraduate open days to discuss your interests with our academics
