2016 Calculating Careers Fair
The 2016 Calculating Careers Fair will take place in the Alan Turing Building on Wednesday 12th October 2016.
What is the Calculating Careers Fair?
The annual Calculating Careers Fair, held in the spacious atrium of the School’s Alan Turing Building, is packed with graduate employers, from Mazars and Morgan Stanley, to Teach First and Tessella.
It’s a great opportunity for students to network with a number of graduate employers, all of whom will have a particular interest in the skills and expertise afforded by the study of mathematics. You will also learn more about the graduate positions and career paths available within each company.
Designed exclusively for students and recent graduates of the School of Mathematics, previous fairs have attracted over 30 internationally renowned employers and more than 700 students – many of whom have gone on to achieve graduate positions with employers first contacted at the Fair.

What kind of opportunities will they be advertising on the day?

Should I still go to the Fair even have no idea what I want to do after university?
Whatever your year of study or particular career ambitions, the chances are that the employers attending the Fair will have opportunities and advice that can help you navigate the graduate recruitment cycle and help you make your first steps onto the proverbial ladder. It’s definitely worth coming along to network with company representatives and get your face and name known.
