Teachers' Evenings

We are holding an evening for Maths teachers on 22nd Jan. 2014 with talks from two of our Mathematicians.

Teacher training for A-Level Maths teachers

 The next CPD for A-level Maths teachers will be Making a Success of Decision maths 1.  It takes place on 16th January 2014. 

Recent courses:

  • Making a Success of Core 1 and Core 2 - 17th & 20th June 2013. A 2-day course covering these two key AS Maths modules. Suitable for all exam boards.
  • Making a Success of Core 3 and Core 4 - 24th & 27th June 2013. A 2-day course covering the Core 3 and Core 4modules. Suitable for all exam boards.
  • Making a Success of Further Pure 1 - 2nd July 2013. A 1-day course covering key FP1 topics common to all exam boards. 

These courses will be running again in summer 2014.

Visit to your school or college

If you're fairly close to Manchester we can come and speak to your A-level Maths students about university maths.

Taking maths further

We organise several one day "Taking Maths Further" events throughout the year usually for a group of schools for (mainly) year 11 students. The day includes Maths talks, puzzles, a careers talk and information on studying mathematics at university. There is a small charge to cover costs and lunch is provided.

The next one will take place on 21st January 10am - 2pm.
