What the Greeks couldn't do. A pure postgrad take on Ancient Greece.

Tom Withers

Frank Adams 2,

Ancient Greece was the bedrock of pure maths, particularly geometry. You can't argue with that. But many questions arise when you start to look at it. Was Pythagoras all he was cracked up to be? Who was Zeno and why on earth did people believe his zany ideas? Greeks vs the Ancient Chinese, who was better at making pi?

Oh, and do equilateral triangles exist?

This is mainly a history talk about maths, so be thankful there are no measures... that would be cheating when squaring the circle!
