Weyl Chambers and the Coadjoint Orbit

Amna Shaddad

Frank Adams 1,

If G is a compact connected Lie group, with T as its torus then their quotient space is isomorphic to the coadjoint orbit. We’ll cover what Weyl chambers are and their mathematical and diagrammatical relation to the coadjoint orbit and what that means for N-Point Vortices and particular matrix Lie groups. The main aim of this talk is to provide a tiny glimpse into Geometric Mechanics – the direct application of unadulterated pure mathematics to physics.
