Model theory of near vector spaces

Charlotte Kestner (UCLAN)

Alan Turing Building, G.207,

I will introduce near vector spaces. I will give some examples, and show that commutative near vector spaces have a particularly nice structure. As originally defined near vector spaces are not first order axiomatisable. None-the-less "finite block" near vector spaces are, and have some nice model theoretic properties. I will give an overview of these.
