Compton scattering tomography

James Webber (University of Manchester)

Frank Adams 2,

With recent developments in energy sensitive detectors, Compton scattering tomography (CST) is gaining more relevance. CST is a new X-ray and gamma ray imaging technique which uses the Compton scattered data to reconstruct the electron density of the target. In this talk we will discuss the results of the thesis "Radon transforms and microlocal analysis in Compton scattering tomography". This will inculde an introduction to new Radon transforms in CST and an analysis of their injectivity, stability and microlocal properties.
