Khintchine's theorem is one of the most famous results in Diophantine
approximation. In a recent paper I conjectured that an analogue of this
theorem holds within the setting of expansions in non-integer bases. In this
talk I will discuss some recent progress towards a proof of this conjecture, and
state some bases for which the conjecture is known to hold.
