Magical Graph Theory

Jamie Phillips (University of Manchester, School of Mathematics)

Frank Adams 2, Alan Turing Building,

Magic squares are a fond favourite of recreational mathematics but the idea can be extended to graphs, and higher dimensional objects. This talk will be a gentle introduction to magic, antimagic and graceful labellings of graphs. The focus will be on examples, summarising known results and a discussion of open problems, rather than rigorous proofs so the talk should be approachable to all.
