Cluster categories via dimer models with boundary

Karin Baur (Graz)

Frank Adams 1,

Alternating strand diagrams have been introduced by Postnikov a few years ago. They have been used to prove that the coordinate ring of the Grassmannian has a cluster algebra structure (Scott). We use alternating strand diagrams as dimer models with boundary and derive quivers with potentials from them. In the case of a disc, this provides a combinatorial model for cluster categories with Grassmannian structure.
