SIAM Travel Awards to Lausanne and Paris for PhD Students
Two PhD students from the numerical analysis group in the School of Mathematics have received Student Travel Awards from the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
These awards are given to help students gain the experience and exposure that comes from attending and presenting at SIAM conferences.
Pranjal Pranjal will present a talk "Balanced Iterative Solvers for Linear Systems Arising from Finite Element Approximation of PDEs" at the SIAM Conference on Uncertainty Quantification in Lausanne in April 2016.
Weijian Zhang will present a talk "Traversing Time-Dependent Networks in Parallel" at the SIAM Conference on Parallel Processing for Scientific Computing in Paris in April 2016.
