PhD Students Win Top Awards
Two School of Mathematics' PhD students have been given notable awards. Both students are supervised by Dr Saralees Nadarajah.
Stephen Chan (ESPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellow) has won an IMS travel award which will fund his attendance at an IMS sponsored meeting. These awards are extremely competitive and only 6 awards in total were made.
In addition, Yuanyuan Zhang (a second year PhD student) has won the American Statistical Association Student Paper Award.
Both awards were made during the Joint Statistical Meetings in Baltimore earlier this month. We would like to congratulate the students on these prestigious awards.
