We caught up with Ashley Hall, our new Senior PGT Admissions Administrator.

Welcome to the School Ashley! Your role is a new post. Can you explain to us what it involves?

Within this role I have responsibility for the Postgraduate-Taught admissions procedure in the School, ensuring that the admissions process is carried out effectively. I am essentially the focal point of contact for PGT admissions issues.

Sounds interesting. What were you doing prior to starting this post?

Before joining the School of Mathematics in February I worked within Alliance Manchester Business School as a Masters Admissions Officer.

As you said, you've been with us since February. What are you enjoying most about the role so far?

I am really enjoying being part of a close-knit School, and the friendly atmosphere that comes with it. It's great to be able to start at The University of Manchester, and specifically the city of Manchester itself. I came to Manchester as an undergraduate student and love that I am still finding new places. I love that it's a city that is continually evolving.

We couldn't agree more! What do you do when you're not handling PGT admissions?

During my spare time I volunteer as a Special Constable with the Greater manchester Police. This is an interesting and extremely varied role and certainly keeps me busy!

We wish Ashley all the best in his new role. If you would like to contact him, you can find his contact details here
