A third edition of this popular book has recently been published
A third edition of the popular book MATLAB Guide has been published by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
Co-authored by Professor Nick Higham, with Professor Des Higham of the University of Strathclyde, it is a major update of the second edition (2005) to reflect the many changes in MATLAB over the last twelve years, and is 25 percent longer. New material covers topics such a graphs and digraphs, how to handle large data sets, and The Parallel Computing Toolbox.
The MATLAB software is widely used in teaching and research.
The book was launched at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Atlanta in early January, with a reception hosted by The Mathworks and SIAM at which attendees consumed a delicious cake representation of the book.
