Maths students receive prestigious FSE Awards

George Godiraone and Luen Lim, undergraduates in the School of Mathematics, attended the Science and Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship Ceremony on 29 November 2017.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering offers a number of International Excellence Scholarships worth £2000 each for outstanding performance by international students.  Each year, the scholarships are awarded to first year students and re-awarded to returning students for continued academic excellence.  This year the School of Mathematics had two attendees at the Reception which was held in the Great Hall, Sackville Street.  The Dean of Faculty, Prof Martin Schroeder, made the presentations and congratulated the students on their success.  

George is originally from Botswana and is a First Year Maths with Finance student and Luen Lim is a Third Year student studying Actuarial Science and Mathematics and is from Malaysia.
