Maths Alumni Reception at The Royal Institution
We have great pleasure in inviting you to the School of Mathematics Alumni wine reception and networking event, to take place at the Royal Institution, on the 9th June 2015 at 6pm.
This event is for former mathematics department students of the Victoria University of Manchester and UMIST, as well as more recent graduates from the current School of Mathematics. The evening will include an informal wine reception and canapés, with an introduction from our Head of School, Professor Peter Duck, and a brief talk by Professor Nick Higham (FRS), Richardson Professor of Applied Mathematics, titled ‘The Making of the Princeton Companion to Applied Mathematics’.
A number of our senior academics will be in attendance on the evening. However, if you would like to discuss any specific issues during the event, such as opportunities for industrial engagement, or you would like to see any particular academics in attendance, please do let us know in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
To confirm your attendance, please email: Sebastian.Rees@manchester.ac.uk, confirming the address to post the invitations to as well as any dietary or accessibility requirements.
We very much hope that you will be able to join us on this occasion and we look forward to meeting you at the Royal Institution on the 9th June.
