Lenox Green presented with Making a Difference Award 2017
Lenox Green, Administrator in the School of Mathematics has been presented with a "Making a Difference Award for Social Responsibility 2017".
The award was given to Lenox in recognistion of his work in "Inspiring Communities". Lenox was "High Commended" in recognistion for all his charity and voluntary work in his local community.
The Making a Difference Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of our staff, students, alumni and external partners and celebrate how they are making a difference.
The award ceremony took place on Thursday 11 May 2017 in the University's Whitworth Hall.
The Awards celebrate the impact our staff, students, alumni and external partners are having on the social well-being of our communities and wider society and offer the opportunity to share best practice about social responsibility initiatives and encourage others to get involved.
Lenox runs the Rainbow Christian Centre with his wife Heather and it is based in Hulme Manchester, The centre provides a range of services in the area, the main users are local children and young people and their families and people on the streets of Manchester. The centre is focused on providing family support and addressing food poverty in addition to meeting spiritual needs.
