The University’s Manchester Master’s Bursary offers 100 bursaries each year for master’s students, worth £3,000 in funding.

Applications are now open for the Manchester Master's Bursary with a deadline for applications of 31st May 2018. The bursaries are aimed at widening access to master’s courses by removing barriers to postgraduate education for students from underrepresented groups, so applicants need to meet a number of criteria to be eligible. Last year, there were more eligible applications than places, so meeting the criteria is no guarantee of an award. Click here for full information regarding the bursary.

The School of Mathematics offers a fee discount of 10% to University of Manchester students who obtain a first class honours degree.

There is also a 'loyalty bursary' of £2,000 to University of Manchester students who apply for MSc Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Logic, MSc Applied Mathematics, and MSc Actuarial Science.

If you’re coming to Manchester this year to begin postgraduate study, you could qualify for a loan from the UK government. You can find more information about the government loan scheme here.
