Actuarial Students awarded WCA Prize
Two students on the BSc Actuarial Science and Mathematics Degree Programme received prizes for obtaining outstanding marks in last year's examinations. Both students came into the Second Year of the course having previously studied for two years at UIBE in China.
Liqing Wang and Haodong Tian were presented with a check and a certificate at the Worshipful Company of Actuaries (WCA) Lecture held on Tuesday 4 December 2018. The award was given by former WCA Master, Mr Charles Cowling.
The presentation was made prior to a talk given by Hilary Salt on "Public Attitudes to Risk and Their Effect on Actuarial Practice" in Lecture Theatre B, University Place.
We would like to congratulate both students on this fantastic achievement.
The award was provided by the Company of Actuaries Charitable Trust. The WCA Lecture was sponsored by the Institute and Faculties of Actuaries.
