The following degree programmes are jointly taught with Mathematics but are managed by the other School.

**BSc/MMath Mathematics and Physics** is managed by the School of Physics and Astronomy.

**BSc Computer Science and Mathematics/BSc Computer Science and Mathematics with Industrial Experience** are managed by the School of Computer Science. Further information can be found on their course information page.

**Useful Information:**

The School of Mathematics offers a wide variety of options. A basic selection of level two course units for students who wish to keep their third and fourth year options open and are looking to take a broad programme would be MATH20122 Metric Spaces, MATH20212 Algebraic Structures 2, MATH20502 Fluid Mechanics, MATH20602 Numerical Analysis 1, MATH20712 Random Models, MATH20802 Statistical Methods.

To ensure that you have done the pre-requisites for the third and fourth year course units you may wish to browse the course descriptions for the course unit you are interested in studying.

Note the second digit of a mathematic course unit code indicates the subject area, according to the following scheme: 0 General; 1 Pure (analysis); 2 Pure (algebra); 3 Logic; 4 Applied (advanced calculus); 5 Applied (physical applied); 6 Applied (numerical analysis); 7 Probability; 8 Statistics; 9 Discrete/Financial mathematics.

Course assessment timetables will be available from the blackboard study modules a few weeks before each semester.

**Definititions:**

**ANTI-REQUISITE**Courses that overlap sufficiently in course content that both cannot be taken for credit.**CO-REQUISITE**A course that must be taken at the same time as (or before registration in) the desired course.**PRE-REQUISITE**A course that must be successfully completed prior to registration for credit in the desired course.
