Eigenvalue Problems
Numerical Linear Algebra
Parallel Programming
My research is to do with numerical solutions and software implementations for large, sparse Eigenvalue problems
arising in Finite Element analysis of Civil Engineering structures.
In particular, I am interested in the Generalized and
Quadratic eigenvalue problems
and strategies to parallelize them.
Eigenvalue systems are an important class of problems in Structural Engineering that arise
while performing dynamic/stability analysis of bridges or buildings.

Other interests
C++: I maintain an active interest in C++, especially the stl and boost, template metaprogramming and the new c++0x standard.
Emerging pardigms like lambdas and frameworks like openmp,
intel tbb for expressing
data & task parallelism.
Software design and architecture: Software for engineering/scientific analysis, design of Application Programming Interfaces.
