The multinacci number t_m (parameterized by an integer m > 1) is the unique root of the equation

                                                x^m + x^m-1 + ∙∙∙ + x = 1

which lies in (1/2, 1). Thus, t₂ is the golden mean, and as is well known, t_m ↓ 1/2 as m → +∞.

Note also that 1/t_m is always a Pisot-Vijayaraghavan number.
