The multinacci number tm (parameterized by an integer m > 1) is the unique root of the equation
xm + xm-1 + ∙∙∙ + x = 1
which lies in (1/2, 1). Thus, t2 is the golden mean, and as is well known, tm ↓ 1/2 as m → +∞.
Note also that 1/tm is always a Pisot-Vijayaraghavan number.
