My research interests centre around algebra, especially representation theory (modules). Model theory, as well as category theory, are of long-standing interest and influence. The role of algebraic geometry in my work is increasing.

Seminars which I attend include the local algebra seminar, logic seminar and geometry and topology seminars.

I am one of the two (the other is Ted Voronov) London Mathematical Society regional organisers for the North of England / North Wales region.
