The 1st NEPGPMW was held in Goodricke College, at the University of York, on Monday 28th July 2003, with the intention of allowing research students in pure mathematics (broadly defined) to

It attracted 24 graduate students from 12 different institutions across the UK. Every student had the opportunity (if they wished) to give a short talk on their research.
