What Is A `Floc' In A Jet?

For coherence, a floc must have:
Not less than about 3 contacts per fibre
Diameter D, areal density G,
Cylinder of thickness T,
Floc mean density cmassfloc=G/T

Note that the compactness K of the floc is
represented by the ratio of floc areal density
to fibre areal density: $K = \frac{\omega G}{\delta},$ presumably controlled by the balance of hydrodynamic and frictional/flexing forces on fibres.
