CONTRIBUTIONS and DEADLINES

As well as invited lectures, scientific contributions that are submitted by the deadlines shown, will be presented in any one of the formats:

minisymposia - 1st October, 1997
contributed lectures - 1st November, 1997
poster sessions - 1st November, 1997

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE

CONTRIBUTED PRESENTATIONS IN LECTURE OR POSTER FORMAT:
Contributed presentations in lecture or poster format are invited in all areas consistent with the aims of the conference. A lecture consists of a presentation of about 20 minutes with an additional five minutes for discussion. A poster presentation will be mounted on a poster-board (measuring approximately two square metres). A poster session is two hours long.

Each contributor, either for a lecture or for a poster, must submit a camera-ready copy of an extended abstract not exceeding two pages typed using single spacing on white A4 paper within an area measuring 16cm by 24cm (or 6.3 inches by 9.5 inches). Abstracts should begin with the title of the paper followed by each author's name, affiliation and e-mail address.

Abstracts that deviate significantly from these guidelines will not be considered.

A book of abstracts will be available to registered participants at the conference.

MINISYMPOSIA

A minisymposium is a two-hour session consisting of four 25 minute presentations with an additional five minutes for discussion. Prospective organisers of a minisymposium are asked to submit a title, a description (of approximately one hundred words) and a list of speakers and titles of their presentations. Each minisymposium speaker must also submit a two-page extended abstract as for contributed presentations, which will also appear in the book of abstracts.
