ONE DAY ERGODIC THEORY MEETING

There will be a one day ergodic theory meeting at the University of Manchester on Monday 13th May 2013. This will be part of the series of meetings between Bristol, Leicester, Liverpool, Loughbourough, Manchester, Queen Mary, Surrey and Warwick, funded by a Scheme 3 grant from the LMS.

  The doubling map with asymmetrical holes

• 2:30pm - 3:30pm Andrew Ferguson (Bristol)
  Dimension of the projection and slice of dynamically defined sets

• 4:00pm - 5:00pm Norbert Peyerimhoff (Durham)
  Some spectral applications of McMullen's Hausdorff dimension algorithm

All talks will be in Franks Adams Room 1.

There will be lunch before the talks and dinner in the evening in a local restaurant.
