The Tau Shower 2008

Arrow and dot show extreme positions of radiant (beginning and end of shower period) and also the position of the radiant at the time of maximum.

Characteristics of the shower

This shower lasts for several weeks so at least some part of it is free from moonlight. The early part of the shower can be observed along with the Orionid shower and the later part along with the Leonid shower. The radiant is double and moves a reasonable distance during the time that the shower is active.

Circumstances for 2008

Full Moon on November 13. Observing window October 25th to November 8th.
