Supported by a grant from the London Mathematical Society

The provisional programme is as follows

Room M12, Mathematics Building

11-12     Dr Robert West, Leeds, Inverse problems and Markov chain Monte
Carlo solutions

12-1      LUNCH, We will go over to the Mumford

1-2       Dr Martin Schweiger, UCL, Image reconstruction with local
basis functions in
   optical tomography

the Cauchy problem associated     with the Helmholtz equation

2:30-3 COFFEE Break, N2, Mathematics Building

This will be followed by a series of shorter talks with an applications
focus. I hope this will
include a talk by Dr Ashley Buckner from QinetiQ, Dr Frank Podd from
food science at Leeds on ultrasound imaging, and myself, Bill Lionheart
on Magnetic Resonance Electrical Impedance Imaging.
I am open to suggestionsfor further 10-20 min talks especially on
