Useful Definitions:

  • ANTI-REQUISITE
    Courses that overlap sufficiently in course content that both cannot be taken for credit.

  • CO-REQUISITE
    A course that must be taken at the same time as (or before registration in) the desired course.

  • PRE-REQUISITE
    A course that must be successfully completed prior to registration for credit in the desired course.

 

Selecting Course Unit Options

The School of Mathematics offers a wide variaty of options. A basic selection of level two course units for students who wish to keep their third and fourth year options open and are looking to take a broad programme would be MATH20122 Metric Spaces, MATH20212 Algebraic Structures 2, MATH20502 Fluid Mechanics, MATH20602 Numerical Analysis 1, MATH20712 Random Models, MATH20802 Statistical Methods.
