Actuarial Science and Mathematics (3 years) [BSc]

Learn to use specialist mathematical skills to measure the probability and risk of future events in financial industries on this three year BSc course.

This course, which is accredited by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, will combine your love of maths with an in-depth understanding of financial systems, problem solving and strategic thinking. 

This course carries up to seven exemptions from the nine Core Technical professional exams.

After successful completion, you will have the skills set required for entry to a trainee actuary position, further study, or a range of mathematics-related career options.

In year 1 and for the first half of year 2 you will study a set of core units, with the addition of two specific actuarial science units. From the second half of year 2 you will take a mixture of actuarial units and be able to choose from a wide range of course units.
