Postdoc Wins Reynolds Poster Competition
Philip Pearce from the School has been awarded the prize for best poster at the 13th ERCOFTAC Osbourne Reynolds Day.
The competition offers prestigious awards that celebrate the quality of students and graduates who have been pursuing doctoral‐level research across the broad domain of fluid mechanics; including turbulence, multi‐phase, stratified and free‐surface flows, convective transport processes, combustion and acoustics. Finalists presented their research at the Osborne Reynolds Day 2015, which took place at the University of Manchester. The Oral Competition consisted of seven talks and the Poster Competition of around 25 posters. The three winners of the Poster Competition were decided by the votes of the attendees at the event.
