Those listed below are some typical schedules for students aiming for Further Mathematics qualifications:

Students aiming for an AS-level in Further Mathematics in year 12 or over 4 terms

Decision and Discrete Maths 1 in the Autumn Term to be examined in January; possibly an early start for some Statistics or Mechanics (in-school progress permitting) and Further Pure 1 completed in time for June testing.  The second Application module tested in June or in January in the Upper Sixth.

Students aiming to complete an AS-level in Further Mathematics in year 13

FP1 in the Autumn term for January testing. A start made at either FP2 or an Application module efore christmas; testing of either FP2 and one Application module, or of 2 Application modules in the summer examination period. Application modules to be selected from the menu above to fit with the in-school schedule (and the preferences of the student where possible).

Students aiming for an A-level in Further Mathematics over 2 years

Year 12 - Decision and Discrete Maths 1 in the Autumn Term to be examined in January. FP1 to be started in year 12 at an early stage plus - depending on the pupil's A level module programme - a module in the Spring Term in Statistics or Mechanics to be examined in May/June or completed in the late Summer term period, and tested in January in the Upper Sixth.

Year 13 - Extra Statistics, Mechanics or Numerical Methods in the Aumn Term to (possibly) be examined in January. FP2 and Differential Equations or another suitable Applications module to compelte the sextet of modules for June testing.

Financial Arrangements

For modules begun in the Autumn Term, the payment per student per started module will be requested by invoice mid-October. A similar arrangement applies to Spring/Summer Term modules with the payment date set for the middle of the Summer term.
